- 9 San Giorgio® lasagna noodles (uncooked)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat and stir in the pasta sauce. Let simmer for 5–10 minutes
- In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread 1 cup of meat sauce. Place 3 uncooked lasagna noodles on top
- Layer with 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Parmesan
- Repeat layers twice more, finishing with sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then uncover and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until bubbly and golden
- Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing
Notes
- Use oven-ready noodles for quicker prep
- Substitute beef with mushrooms or zucchini for a vegetarian option
- Prepare a day ahead and refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor
- Serve with garlic bread and green salad for a complete meal
